In 2017, Skyler joined over twenty House Republicans in signing onto a bill that abolishes abortion. 
 

In 2018, Skyler voted for the nation’s second strongest pro-life bill (at the time), the Heartbeat Bill.
 

In 2019, Skyler voted to end all taxpayer dollars that were going to Planned Parenthood. The effort was successful, and Planned Parenthood has not received a taxpayer dollar in Iowa since!
 

In 2020, Skyler voted to require a 24-hour waiting period before someone could get an abortion.
 

In 2021, Skyler successfully led an effort to pass the Protect Life Amendment, which seeks to correct an egregious Iowa Supreme Court decision on life.
